Oswald is a partner at ALTA Costa Rica and has spent the past 30 years helping local and international clients navigate the complexities of industries such as telecommunications, energy, retail, entertainment, sports, hospitality, construction, and logistics. His experience in establishing and operating businesses across multiple jurisdictions in Latin America enables him to provide practical and effective solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing on a perspective shaped by both his work as legal counsel and his service on corporate boards throughout the region.
In addition to being a Lawyer and Notary Public, he is a certified arbitrator and mediator. He has had the privilege of providing consulting services for the United Nations, international non-governmental organizations, and the Costa Rican Bar Association, with a focus on alternative dispute resolution. His work with the Alternative Conflict Resolution Commission of the Costa Rican Bar Association assisting in the establishment of the Arbitration and Mediation Center, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors for four consecutive terms
He is passionate about sharing knowledge and has been invited to speak at conferences in Latin America and Europe on topics such as international trade, esports, and sports law. He has also contributed articles on timeshare and e-commerce matters to the Journal of Legal Sciences of the Faculty of Law at the University of Costa Rica.
