Oswald is a partner in ALTA Costa Rica has 30 years helping local and international clients navigate the complexities of industries such as telecommunications, energy, retail, entertainment, sports, hospitality, construction and logistics. His experience in establishing and operating businesses in multiple jurisdictions in Latin America allows him to offer practical and effective solutions adapted to the unique needs of each client, the product of a combined vision as legal advisor and member of the Board of Directors of companies in Latin America.
In addition to being a Lawyer and Notary Public, he is a certified arbitrator and mediator. He has had the privilege of providing consulting services for the United Nations, international non-governmental agencies and the Costa Rican Bar Association, focused on alternative dispute resolution. His work with the Alternative Conflict Resolution Commission of the Costa Rican Bar Association included helping to create the Arbitration and Mediation Center, where he served on the Board of Directors for four consecutive terms.
He is passionate about sharing knowledge and has been invited to speak at conferences in Latin America and Europe on topics such as international trade, eSports, and sports law. He has also contributed articles on timeshare and e-commerce to the Legal Sciences Journal of the Faculty of Law at the University of Costa Rica.
