Carlos is an associate of ALTA Guatemala, has experience in mergers and acquisitions at the national and regional level of various industries (metals, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and raw materials), due diligence processes.
He also has experience in preparing contracts, transaction structuring and closing, assisting both buyers and sellers.
He has assisted in corporate and project financing and refinancing processes, with international and national financiers for various industries (among others, renewable energy generation, aeronautics, sugar), as well as in the issuance of sovereign bonds in international markets under the rule 144A and Regulation S.)
Carlos has provided advice to clients in complex arbitration proceedings, both before national arbitration centers and before the ICC Court of Arbitration. He has also been appointed as secretary of the arbitral tribunal in arbitration proceedings.
He is an assistant professor of Introduction to Law, for students of the Faculty of Communication and Banking Law at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad del Istmo, and coach of the Universidad del Istmo team for the MOOTmadrid international commercial arbitration competition.
